Meet the Future Family Team - Mya Henk
I’m Mya Henk, a CRM Software Administrator for Future Family, living in Hudson, WI with my wonderful husband Jason and our 3.5 year old Black Lab/German Shepard mix, Alice. I was originally adopted from South Korea when I was 5 months old and I’m an avid triathlete, competing in multiple endurance races a year. I enjoy spending time outdoors and love camping.
What do you do at Future Family and how long have you been here?
As a CRM (Client Relationship Management) Software Administrator, I support our team by running the backend of our Salesforce software and creating automations and processes to streamline workflows. I help with things behind the scenes and ensure nothing breaks (or if it does, help to fix it!).I love process automation and making things easier for our team - which in turn makes it easier for them to do their job and help our Clients and members.
Why did you join Future Family? What is your favorite part about working at Future Family
I love the Future Family mission and its purpose. Never having kids myself, but knowing the mental and emotional struggle one goes through, I love that fact that we are all on a mission to make things easier for our clients.
My favorite part about working at Future Family is the sense of family between team-members. You often hear about it, but don’t always feel it!
What’s your favorite joke?
Ole and Lena went to the Olympics. While sitting on a bench a lady turned to Ole and said, "Are you a pole vaulter?"
Ole said, "No, I'm Finnish...and my name isn't Valter."
What should families consider when taking a fertility loan?
Find a company that cares as much about its members as we do. Having the ability to call upon a Fertility nurse to ask for advice, answer questions, and have that emotional support, is so valuable. It's one of the things we do that is so different from everyone else, besides the financing part.
In your opinion, what do you think is that one "thing" that makes Future Family so special?
Half of the company has gone through IVF or were conceived by IVF. We understand first hand the emotional, financial, and length of this process. It speaks volume to the amount of care we all have for our mission.
What advice would you give to patients starting to research fertility financing?
Take the time to ask all your questions. It's ok to ask and seek the answers you need. There’s no need to rush through because it is such a big decision. Our Fertility Finance Specialists are available to answer most of your questions so don’t hesitate to reach out!
